By downloading, installing, or using hey! ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

hey! is a friendship reminder app that helps you stay in touch with the people you care about. The App allows you to track friends, log check-ins, and receive customizable push notification reminders.

3. User Account

You may need to create an account using Sign in with Apple to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities under your account.

4. In-App Purchases

• The App offers optional in-app purchases for premium message tones (non-consumable).
• All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms.
• Purchases are non-refundable except as required by law or Apple's refund policy.
• You can restore purchases on any device signed into the same Apple ID.
• Prices may vary by region and include applicable taxes where required.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (friend names, notes, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely to provide the service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App

7. Notifications and Availability

The App uses push notifications to send you reminders based on your settings. You can enable or disable notifications in system settings at any time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with or without notice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Exclusive venue is Berlin, Germany, to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer protection rules.
